Great news!!
My Sunset Runner was selected for the Fons and Porter e-newsletter that came out
yesterday evening. How exciting!

Now I need to submit the Circle quilt picture.

We had a lovely baby shower Sunday afternoon despite heavy snow.
Here is Natalie with the baby quilt I made. She really liked it.

Snow days mean time to make snowmen. Lots of fun for my grandchildren
and for their great-uncle John.

Finished Sunset Runner

Good morning! First I have to show off my newly-bloomed orchid.
This orchid started budding again, right after it lost its last bloom.
What a treat!

This is a photo of the 2nd Sunset Runner I made. The pattern is from Fons and Porter's Love of Quilting and uses Over the Rainbow batiks from Moda. I had to tear out quilting 2 different times--
not something I care to repeat very often.

Here's a closer view of the quilting. It is totally free motion.
The borders are supposed to look kind of like blocks or a stone wall effect.
I really like the way it turned out.
Now I need to find a place to display it

We 5 are in Danville, IL, at Threads of Time for a quilt retreat.
Behind us are braids that 3 of us did.

Denise is working on a braid.

Rosie is working on her basket blocks.

Betty Sue has an exploding pineapple.

Kathy has started a rag quilt.

Four of us made snap bags.

I finished my Circles for Baby Stanton.

I have been using this new machine and will probably buy one and trade in my "old" one.

Here is the back of the quilt, pieced with an "I Love Grandma" strip, my signature circle,
and a "faith, hope, and love" circle.

The quilt is sandwiched and ready to quilt.

It's all done, thanks to a quilt retreat weekend in Danville, IL.
Thanks to Threads of Time for such a lovely place to sew with friends!

Here is my signature circle. I really meant to put my first name on it but forgot.
Oh, well. I love the script on my sewing machine!
