Last week we were blessed to be with all 4 of our grandchildren for several days.
Here they are: the girls' green shirts say "Owl in the Family" and I think Amelia's little onesie says "Whooo loves me." Cute!

Kathy of
posted several photos from our Quilt Club meeting at which she taught the lesson on the tumbling flower pots wall hanging. Here is my completed wall hanging. I like the way it turned out, except for the wrinkle in the backing that only I will see. Best of all, it can be made with lots of scraps.

The HO HO HO blog hop has started. I'm SO excited to see what everyone has done.
My day is August 8. I sure hope I can figure out how to post my things on time!

I took some time yesterday to figure out, following the tutorial from one of the Aiming for Accuracy members, how to get my quilt mock-up done. Here it is so far.
Some of the edges of my photos are still showing but I can't help that. One still gets the idea.
Block 5 will go in the top left corner.
Since I want more focus on some of my browns, I need to include more of it in future blocks.

Now I have Block 4 of the Aiming for Accuracy Quilt-along done.
I really like the looks of it.

Just finished block 3 in the Aiming for Accuracy Quilt-along.
I don't think the photo shows the true color of the blue--more of a muted teal. It doesn't look nearly as impressive here.
However, the block is accurately sized--21 1/2" x 21 1/2". Yea!

The next photo is a sneak peak at some of the hexies I have done to get a head start on the Hexie Queen blog hop. I've already made one small project--no pictures yet!--and have several Christmas things done for the Ho Ho Ho blog hop, but you will have to wait to see those until my day to share--Aug 8.

Just finished block #2 in the Aiming for Accuracy Quilt-along.
Michelle posted directions for #3 so I'll get after it soon...

A friend said I should post pictures of some of the chickens I've made so here they are:
my flock...

And Tracy Norcross' flock...

Of course, I have a dozen (or so) other things I should be doing right now, but this is more fun!

July 6

Below is a photo for the Aiming for Accuracy quilt-along that I am participating in.
This is the first block. The goal is precision cutting and stitching for exact measurements.
I did pretty well on this one--it's 15.5" x 16.5", just as it should be.

Another project/class is Crafty's Stupendous Stitching. I finally have my handwork done on this piece and am ready to move on to the next step of sandwiching and quilting.
