Show and Tell

I'm pretty sure I have never put this finished quilt on here...
It's my Alaska quilt with Row by Rows from Alaska (naturally).
From top down:
Fairbanks--Northern Threads
Juneau--Changing Tides
Denali--Northern Heart Originals
Anchorage--Quilted Raven
Juneau--Raintree Quilts
Fairbanks--Northern Threads
On the left is Juneau (Changing Tides) and on the right is a separate laser cut piece I got in Fairbanks.
Great shops, all of them!
Even though you can't see it, the border is quilted rising or setting suns (Lori Kennedy design) which I thought was perfect for the Land of the Midnight Sun. I made a facing for the quilt instead of binding it so as not to detract from the quilt itself.

Below is my new "barn" quilt--on our unattached garage. The company calls it Mexican Tile, but it looks a lot like the Idaho Beauty block featured in the latest Quiltfolk magazine.

This is a runner I just finished.
It's called "Curvacious" by Gudrun Erla.
My SIL Denise and I bought the pattern and fabrics for it at Fiberworks in Waverly, IA.
It's long--54" and about 12.5" wide.

Now I'm busy on other projects, such as my November Crafter's Edge project and a baby quilt for my granddaughter-to-be who will be born sometime around the end of the year. Time to get going on it, eh?

  1. What great projects! I love the whales on the Alaskan quilt the best, but the rest is wonderful too. The Barn quilt is beautiful and more interesting than most I have seen. And cool table runner. Looking forward to seeing your CE project in Nov.
